A Few New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! All the best in 2018! Let it be better than 2017 and worse than 2019. Cheers! 🙂

A couple of my New Year’s resolutions that I wanted to share:

  • Excercise a couple of times per week 😅
  • Start using Brave and Duckduckgo.com more 🐱‍💻
  • Deactivate my Facebook account ✔️
  • Blog more by using the WordPress app 📱
  • Learn a new skill 🤓

How to Completely Remove a WordPress Plugin from Your Site

Most of WordPress users remove a plugin they previously installed by clicking the Delete button in their WP Admin -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins. However, does this remove the plugin from a site completely or are there any bits of it that are left behind? You guessed it right – sometimes, there are files and database entries that still remain even after the plugin has been uninstalled. This has its pros and cons but nevertheless, it does affect the site speed for sure!

One of the tricks to speed up your WordPress site is to hack away at the unessential! 🙂 This implies that you don’t need all your plugins loading on all your pages and posts. That slows down your site!
