This is my very first post which I’m writing by using only my cellphone. I was always a bit reluctant to try publishing from a cellphone but I finally gave it a shot. I’m using the WordPress Android app created by Automattic. The app can be found on Play Store and you can also check out this link for more info on currently available WordPress mobile applications.
It’s probably gonna take some time before I get used to writing and publishing this way. However, I must admit I like it so far 😀 Let’s see if my opinion changes after writing a dozen more posts this way. Challenge accepted!
As an Automattician, I have the opportunity to work remotely. And I love it! I mostly work from home but I also visit various coffee shops and restaurants and work from there.
When I take a look at the Office Today, I can get a rough impression of the office my colleagues used at one point. Pretty cool!
By the way, Automattic is constantly growing and we are always hiring!
Once a year, all the Automatticians gather in one place for a week. It’s a week when I have a chance to meet my colleagues in person and we call it the Grand Meetup! This year, its location – Whistler, Canada.
It was great, it was fun, it was incredible! With 460 Automatticians at one place, it’s almost impossible to meet everyone! However, everyone I met and spoke with was super friendly and I am proud to be a part of a company that has such great people.

I was lucky enough to attend WordCamp Frankfurt this year and staff the Jetpack and WooCommerce booth. I had a blast, I met two of my fellow Automatticians (Cécile and Thomas), and I had a chance to talk with our customers. It was awesome!
